The final production in the Performing Arts Theater 2022-23 Season will be Let Me Down Easy by Anna Deavere Smith. Auditions for this production, which will be directed by SMCM theater alum A. Lorraine Robinson, will take place Monday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 7 in the Bruce Davis Theater. Performance dates are April 19-23.
(Anna Deavere Smith will be visiting campus March 31-April 1 and will attend a rehearsal for this production and is scheduled to perform a piece of her own on April 1 in the Dodge Performing Arts Center.)
All are welcome and encouraged to audition. No experience required. The director would like to see actors of all races, genders, abilities and cultures to build a diverse ensemble of people for this cast.
Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue or any other material you enjoy that you would like to share - funny or serious, whatever your preference (it’s fine to use poetry, something from a play or movie, self-composed, etc.)
