Biography
Anandi C. Ehman, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at St. Mary's College of Maryland. After receiving a BA from Florida Gulf Coast University, Anandi went on to get her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Mississippi. Her research work focuses primarily on understanding and reducing interpersonal aggression and violence, while simultaneously increasing support for victims and survivors at both individual and macrosystemic levels. She has ongoing research on the impact of specific federal policies (e.g., Title IX) on sexual violence reporting and help-seeking behavior, college students attitudes towards victims of sexual violence from historically marginalized communities (e.g., LGBTQ+, BIPOC), and attitudes towards male identifying survivors of sexual violence. A licensed psychologist in the state of MD, Anandi is trained in ACT, DBT, and CBT and uses an intersectional, trauma informed lens to conduct both individual and group therapy. She has experience working with survivors of various forms of violence, particularly those from marginalized or underserved communities. When not teaching, mentoring students, doing research, or working on advocacy, Anandi enjoys reading, knitting, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs (Pippin & Honey-Lemon).

- Professor Ehman Spotlighted as a vital member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Association for Contextual & Behavioral Sciences
In addition to her work as a Professor, Dr. Ehman is also an active member of the clinical and health science practitioner community. She is the co-chair of the Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) committee for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Association for Contextual and Behavioral Sciences (MAC-ACBS). ACBS is an international organization "dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering and the advancement of human well-being through research and practice grounded in contextual behavioral science." Professor Ehman's dedication and work with the Mid-Atlantic chapter led to her being recognized as a vital member of this community in July 2025.
