Assistant Professor Lorena Torres-Martínez published a commentary titled "Shedding new light on the effects of domestication in plant–microbe interactions" in the high-impact journal New Phytologist. The article can be found at this link: https://nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/nph.70837

Torres was invited by the New Phytologist Journal's Forum to write a commentary on a recently published paper by Hernández-Terán et al. (2026), 249: 1968–1979, where the authors provided a thorough meta-analysis on the effects of plant domestication on the maintenance of rhizosphere bacterial communities.
