A poem titled “By Bullet” by Poet and Professor of English Karen Leona Anderson has been published in Inner Forest Service, an online journal of poetry “attentive to the earth.” Anderson will be a featured poet at the Foggy Bottom Book Crawl on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Washington, D.C., a free literary event with live readings and meet and greets sponsored by the nonprofit Foggy Bottom West End Main Street in partnership with LitBox, a D.C.-based book vending service featuring D.C.-area writers. 

Anderson is the author of the poetry collections “Receipt” (Milkweed Editions) and “Punish honey” (Carolina Wren). Her work has appeared in Epiphany, Pleiades, Little Star, Alaska Quarterly Review, ZYZZYVA, The Best American Poetry, and other journals and anthologies. Her poems have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and she is the recipient of a Maryland State Arts Grant.
