Christine Wooley, associate dean of curriculum and associate professor of English at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of the Association of Departments of English (ADE). The ADE supports academic departments focused on studying literature, writing, and culture by helping its members successfully lead and manage their programs. As a part of the Modern Language Association's Academic Program Services (MAPS), the ADE provides opportunities for members to explore the broader contexts that shape humanities studies in higher education.

"I'm really excited to be a part of the work that the ADE is doing to support English departments across the country and more broadly, to emphasize the importance and relevance of education in the humanities,” Wooley said.

Wooley will serve on the executive board through the 2021 Modern Language Association convention.
