Byrd to give seminar on biosafety at Texas conference

Jeff Byrd, professor of biology, was invited to give a seminar on biosafety at the American Society for Microbiology's Conference for Undergraduate Educators July 26-29 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas. Byrd’s session, entitled "Keeping Microbes IN the Laboratory: Best Practices in Laboratory Biosafety" is scheduled for Friday, July 27. Byrd is the safety editor for the Journal of Microbiology and Biology Education for the American Society for Microbiology. The conference gathers nearly 400 undergraduate microbiology and biology educators, research faculty, and graduate students.
