Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Biography
Sara had taught at Bates and Drake Colleges as a visiting assistant professor after earning her Ph. D. at Dartmouth College in 2019. Her research interests include algebra and number theory. Most recently she has worked with students in projects on mathematical origami constructions, their symmetry patterns, and how they generalize to higher dimensions. Sara enjoys trying new activities in the classroom and occasionally turning them into games when possible. She has also been involved in outreach events to hope to inspire kids to get excited about math at a younger age. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking, biking, swimming, and singing.
