Biography

Native daughter of Seattle, WA, Amelia graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Sociology and a B.A. in Religious Studies. Amelia is currently pursing her Masters degree in Healthcare Administration. Amelia joined the Center for Career and Professional Development, now known as the Office of Career Development and Community Engagement, in 2024 bringing with her 17+ years of Human Resources and Administrative Support Services experience from diverse industries including: home health, finance, grocery retail, and non-profit. 

 During the height of COVID, Amelia took some time away to pursue her passion in birth work as a childbirth educator, doula, and midwife assistant.  She as taken a break from the on-call life but still teaches childbirth education regularly.

Amelia is a dynamic and energetic educator passionate about helping others unlock their own "why?"  She lives locally with her partner and children.
