THE FUTRE OF PLAY:

Design Tomorrow Today

St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks is kicking off our 5-Year Master Plan process. The Land Preservation, Parks & Recreation Plan provides a roadmap for St. Mary's County through open spaces and amenities provided for the citizens. As part of that effort, we are conducting a Call to Action: Seeking Community Engagement.

NEWLY LAUNCHED! Your input is invaluable and now you can use an interactive site providing several ways to participate and have your voice heard. You can participate using an interactive map, posting to an ideas wall, using a budget prioritization tool, and by completing a short survey. You can use all or one - whichever you prefer!

How Is the Plan Developed?

Input collected using this interactive site will be combined with data analysis, upcoming stakeholder input, and a statistically valid survey to support informed planning decisions. A paper survey will be mailed to randomly selected county households in the coming month. And finally, several community meetings will be held (dates coming soon) throughout St. Mary's County this summer.

What's Next?

Your input will directly inform the plan’s findings, recommendations, and action steps.

So many ways to contribute. We look forward to hearing your ideas!

Give your input here.
