The Media Literacy, Civic Engagement, and Democracy Project (MLCED), part of the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD), invites you and your students to a screening of The Librarians this Tuesday, March 31, from 4:30–6:00 pm in Cole Cinema.

This compelling film highlights librarians as frontline defenders of democracy and our First Amendment rights. It’s a powerful reminder that access to information shapes communities—and that this work matters now more than ever.

After the screening, our own SMCM librarians will lead a Q&A, offering their insights and experiences—it should be a thoughtful and engaging conversation.

Feel free to check out the film’s trailer to get a preview.
