The SMCM Muslim Students Association, Students for Justice, and the Asian and Pacific Islander American Club (APAC) invite the campus community to join us for food, fun, and reflection as we celebrate Eid!
Eid al-Fitr is an Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, revered among Muslims as the holy month during which the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) started receiving the revelations which were later collected in the Qur'an. During Ramadan many Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, and focus on compassion, self-restraint, and collective worship. At the end of the month Muslims observe a joyous celebration with family and friends.
All are welcome! Our celebration of Eid is non-denominational and will feature Turkish food, sweets and snacks, music, henna, crafts and more. Join us in the joy of sharing time together!
Date & Time: Tuesday, March 24, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Place: Daugherty Palmer Commons
