We invite you to register and/or submit an abstract to present at this year's Advancing Excellence in Research Scholarship Research Conference, which will be held online on April 10th, 2026! The abstract submission deadline will be on February 27, 2026. Registration is free.
We are an all-student planned, virtual conference that welcomes a diverse array of abstracts that examine unique experiences, perspectives, and outcomes across individuals and contexts with an emphasis on underrepresented or understudied populations and issues. We encourage scholars of all levels (undergraduate, graduate, faculty, staff, and community members) and all disciplines and fields (e.g. arts, social sciences, physical sciences, medical sciences, human services, implementation sciences, education, and beyond) to apply. This year, presentation opportunities include Blitz Talks (5 minutes), Research Presentations (10-12 minutes), and Poster Talks (<5 minutes).

*Benjamin Ertman '18 served as an English teacher with the Ameson Education and Cultural Foundation and was stationed in Jinhua City, Zhejiang, China, for a year post-graduation from SMCM. Following that experience, he spent four years as clinical research assistant/specialist at Boston Children's Hospital. He is now pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Virginia with an expected completion in 2029.
