Congratulations to Jennifer Sivak, the December winner for the Seahawk Spirit Award!
Jennifer Sivak works in the Student Affairs Office and was nominated under the Community Service and Kudos Award categories.
This is what one of the nominators shared about Jennifer: "I am nominating Jenny Sivak for the SMCM Community Spirit Award because she consistently goes above and beyond to make Calvert Hall and the broader campus more welcoming, connected, and enjoyable.
When I arrived at work yesterday morning, Jenny was already outside decorating Calvert Hall for Christmas. She decorated the inside of the building as well. I have watched her do this for the past two years, and it brings a genuine sense of holiday spirit to everyone who works in or visits the building. Her seasonal decorations, both in her office and in the hall, create a warm and inviting environment for students, staff, and faculty. It is the kind of contribution no job description captures, yet everyone feels the impact. Jenny is also the person to turn to when you need answers. Whether it is who to contact, where something is, or how to get something fixed, she usually has the answer. If she doesn't know, she finds out quickly. She quietly keeps the building running smoothly in ways most people never see. Working with her is a pleasure. She is reliable, thoughtful, and proactive. Her individual efforts may seem small on their own, but together they create a community that feels genuinely cared for. She truly embodies the spirit of the SMCM Staff Seahawk Spirit Award for Community Service."
As the monthly winner, Jennifer will receive 5 meal tickets to the Great Room and a certificate of appreciation.
If you see Jennifer around on campus please congratulate her and thank Jennifer for everything she does to make our SMCM community a wonderful place to be!
