I hope your break has been restful and rejuvenating. I am pleased to share that Patrice Darby has been promoted to Director of Student Success Services, effective January 1, 2026.
In this role, Patrice will provide leadership, management and oversight for the Office of Student Success Services (OS3) and its critical work supporting student retention, persistence, and academic success. Her responsibilities will include ensuring that all OS3 student success programs, initiatives, and services including academic support services, the SEAS early alert system, academic recovery efforts, and student case management continue to reflect contemporary best practices and a student-centered, service-oriented culture.
As we congratulate Patrice on this well-deserved promotion, I also want to express my sincere appreciation to Joanne Goldwater for her leadership overseeing OS3 following the retirement of Kathy Pusecker. During this transitional period, Joanne’s steady guidance and commitment ensured continuity and stability for both students and staff. It has been a pleasure to work with and support her throughout this time.
