Congratulations to Alise Maxie, the July winner for the Seahawk Spirit Award!
Alise is Coordinator of Multicultural Programming and nominated under the Community Service Award category!
This is what the nominator shared about Alise: "Alise Maxie exemplifies a spirit of service. Alise brought back the MLK Service Day this year. Students, faculty, staff and members of the community participated in service projects in Southern Maryland. Alise has also tabled at community events and volunteered to read at one of the local schools. She hosted the college's first on-campus Juneteenth Celebration, which was a great success. She worked with two local vendors to make sure that celebration featured culturally relevant food and line dancing."
As the monthly winner, Alise will receive 5 meal tickets to the Great Room and a certificate of appreciation.
