Congratulations to Julia Linthicum, the May winner for the Seahawk Spirit Award!
Julia Linthicum is the Area Coordinator for Student Programming and nominated under the Excellence in Leadership Award!
This is what the nominator shared about Julia: "I would like to nominate Julia for the Excellence in Leadership Award. In the month of May, Julia took a leadership role in many endeavors. She played a big part in RA training for our incoming cohort of RAs, helping to train and prepare them for their own upcoming leadership. In the same week, she also led a retreat with the members of the Programs Board Exec. This year, she has truly been building Programs Board up from the ground. She came in mid-year to a team of only 2 reliable student volunteers but still managed to throw a large number of successful events. At the end of year retreat, she guided her growing Programs Board team in planning out the entirety of next year's events, going above and beyond to set them up for a great year next year. She is also going to a competitive conference at the end of the month with a rigorous application process. She put in extra work to apply and prepare for this conference in order to make strong networking connections and further develop her skills in the Residence Life field."
As the monthly winner, Julia will receive 5 meal tickets to the Great Room and a certificate of appreciation.
