The National Association of Resource, Conservation, and Development Council is offering exciting internships to students passionate about conservation and environmental stewardship. These are paid, remote positions. As an RC&D intern, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with experienced professionals and community leaders, making meaningful contributions to projects that matter.

Program Conference Assistant (1 opening left) ~ Apply now!

  • Receive orientation and training about NARCDC and RC&D Councils
  • Learn about managing a non-profit organization
  • Help NARCDC plan their National Conference, working with Hershey Park to organize aspects of the conference
  • Research sponsors and exhibitors for the conference
  • Create materials for the conference
  • Shadow RC&D Council members and learn about different aspects of the organization and programs.
  • Learn about event managing/organizing a National Conference
  • Interaction/training/job shadowing with RC&D partner organizations
  • Hours per week: 10 - 12 hrs / week - 150 Hours Total
  • Intern will receive compensation via stipend payments totaling $2,500.00
  • Must be able to attend the NARCDC Conference in Hershey, PA May 16-21, 2025.

The National Association of RC&D Youth Ambassador Program is a student engagement program designed to inspire and empower the next generation of agriculture//conservation leaders. Through hands-on experiences, interactive learning, and community involvement, the Youth Ambassador Program fosters a deep understanding of conservation principles while igniting a passion for environmental stewardship within the next generation! This is a national program with representation at colleges and universities across the country. 

Youth Ambassador Coordinator (1 opening left) ~ Apply now!

The Youth Ambassador Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Youth Ambassador Program at St. Mary’s College. The Youth Ambassador Coordinator will represent RC&D and help establish campus partnerships to carry-out events that include introduction to conservation practices and careers, community service, and campus outreach. 

In addition to campus activities the YAP Coordinator will: 

  • Represent their campus in meetings and activities for the National YAP.
  • Will receive mentorship and training from the NARCDC Youth Ambassador Director
  • Interact/train/job shadow with RC&D partner organizations
  • Participate in YAP group activities under the direction of NARCDC staff and contractors
  • Hours per week: 8-10 week / 120 hours total
  • Intern will receive compensation via stipend payments totaling $2,000.00
  • Must be able to attend the NARCDC Conference in Hershey, PA May 16-21, 2025.

Youth Ambassador (5 openings left) ~ Apply now!

  • The Youth Ambassadors will represent NARCDC on campus.
  • Will participate in events and activities coordinated by the NARCDC Youth Ambassador Coordinator, to include community service projects, campus outreach, and conservation career exposure ie: (career fairs, job shadowing, and/or promotional events)
  • Work with campus organizations and oversee student ambassadors
  • Plan Ambassador events and outreach
  • Hours per week: 4 hrs / 60 hours total
  • Intern will receive compensation via stipend payments totaling $1,000.00
