April is National Stress Awareness Month. Stress is a physical and emotional reaction that people experience as they encounter challenges in life. When you're under stress, your body releases hormones that produce the "fight-or-flight" response. Occasional stress is a normal coping mechanism, but long-term stress may contribute to or worsen health problems.

Health Services specialty clinic for April is "Press Reset on Stress." Students will meet with Mary Wince, NP, for stress-buster strategies, screenings, physical examinations, referrals, and other services as indicated. Students should call 240 895-4289 to schedule an appointment.
