The library is hiring for Fall 2023! 

We're looking for flexible, reliable and dedicated students to help us staff our library circulation desk during the next academic year. No previous library experience required. Please follow the steps below to apply or visit library.smcm.edu/about/student-employment

How to Apply

1. If you’re a current SMCM student and you’re interested in working at the library, please follow these steps below:
2. Log into Handshake through the Center for Career and Professional Development (smcm.joinhandshake.com)
3. Search for the current Student Library Circulation Intern job posting (Job ID # 7744702)
4. Attach the following forms to our Handshake posting:
   1. Library Circulation Employment Application Google Form (link provided on library homepage)
   2. Library Circulation Employment Availability Google Form (link provided on library homepage)
   3. Complete and attach a cover letter and resume
5. Submit completed application with attached cover letter and resume through Handshake; Google Forms using links provided. Applications will only be accepted through Handshake; required materials must be submitted in order to be considered for an interview.
6. The Customer Service Supervisor will reach out to you regarding your application and set up an interview time, if applicable. Interviews will take place on campus or via Zoom.
