Environmental Studies is completing a search for two, new faculty members and wants you to come experience an amazing lineup of finalist candidate teaching demonstrations.

 

Monday, Dec. 5, Schaefer Hall 134, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Dr. Jeff Feng (Ross Fellow Position)

  • Dr. Jeff Feng is currently an Assistant Professor of Environmental Justice at Hamilton College. They are a scholar-activist whose research research brings previously disparate fields together to complicate how queer, feminist, and intersectional social movements shape environmental and climate justice. They completed their PhD in Political Science at University of California, Santa Barbara.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 7, Schaefer Hall 134, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Dr. Zhiying Li (Science Specialty Position)

  • Dr. Zhiying Li is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Climate Modeling & Impacts Group at Dartmouth College. Having completed a Ph.D. in Geography at The Ohio State University, Dr. Li’s work centers on fundamental and applied questions about how climate variability and human intervention are altering the water cycle, including hydroclimatic extremes and water availability.

Parisa Rinaldi (Ross Fellow Position)

  • Parisa Rinaldi is currently a visiting scholar at the Department of Geography at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, where she is completing the last year of her  PhD at the University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems and the University of the Andes at the Center for Interdisciplinary Development Studies. Her interdisciplinary research focuses broadly on environmental justice, sustainability transitions and local knowledge.
