Do you have clothing or comfort items to donate?

If so, please contribute to SMART's Temporary Housing Donation Bin!

What is Temporary Housing?

When a student has had an unwanted experience (stalking, sexual misconduct, domestic violence, etc.), going back to their primary residence on campus may not feel safe. Instead, Public Safety can collaborate with Residence Life to provide Temporary Housing for the student to stay. Temporary Housing is often changed to different rooms to keep the space anonymous and provide privacy. Because of this, most rooms don't have much for the student residing in them, so SMART is assembling Temporary Housing Kits for those who need them.

Could you help provide the following items? We are making about 20 kits, so anything you have from the list below would help!

New or used and in good condition:

Clothing Items:

  • T-shirts
  • Scarves
  • New Socks
  • Sweatpants
  • New Underwear

Comfort Items:

  • Puzzles
  • Blankets
  • Toiletries
  • Stuffed Animals
  • Crayons/Colored Pencils

Donation Box is located in the front of Glendening by the front windows.

DEADLINE: Tuesday, 11/23 by 4:00pm
