Sushma Shimkhada was a revolutionary Nepalese sculptor, known for her stunning and creative works. She proposed radical feminist ideals through her art, with a special focus on the power of the womb as the center of all creation. The womb was a sacred place that birthed creativity and every woman could reach deep into its divine power.

She used her work as a medium of Hindu feminism long before anyone was ready to hear her message. While Shimkhada faced discrimination and hardships in her journey as a female sculptor in a male-dominated profession, she would eventually find recognition, win awards for her work and hold international exhibitions.
