Our own amazing Dr. Aileen Bailey is offering her awesome virtual barre class over the winter break as a Relay for Life fundraiser! Please see the linked flyer with the calendar of class offerings (details also below). Feel free to share this information with friends! Stay fit, fight the winter blues, have fun, and raise money for ACS! It's truly a win-win.

"Friends, I am offering barre classes over the winter break for donation only. Many of you know that I am a breast cancer survivor and I am incredibly thankful for the numerous treatments that I had access to. The American Cancer Society (ACS; cancer.org) works to fund research, support patients, and educate individuals about cancer prevention. Therefore, I am asking for a donation to my Relay for Life page in order to support the ACS. I am asking for a minimum $2 donation for each class (13 classes; $26 total). Once you make a donation then I will send you a waiver and the class link. Thanks in advance for your support!"

You are also welcome to join us for our Relay event this year ($15 registration fee) as a virtual team member on Team Psyched for Life (which Dr. Bailey is a member of)! We are trying to arrange for a socially-distanced (and not as long or in the same format as usual) Relay event that also offers a virtual option for in the later spring. Stay tuned!

In the meantime we just ask you to fundraise as much as possible (the suggested minimum is $100 - ask 10 people for $10 and voila - but any amount raised is wonderful). If you can’t join us (and fundraise as a team member yourself), please consider a donation to the team as a whole or to one (or more) of its members, or any other registered team or member (Glendening Hall has a team). You could also register as an individual or create your own team. We'd love for there to be more office/department/club-based RFL teams!

The funds we’re raising will help sustain critical research and patient services in this difficult time. The ACS is anticipating a 50% drop in donations due to the pandemic. Believe us, every dollar really does count, so we’re asking for your help. Please sign up and/or donate today, because together we can accomplish anything!
