October is Dating & Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), and this Thursday, October 22, is the College's day of visibility for DVAM. Help us raise awareness around Dating & Domestic Violence by turning the campus purple! Please be sure to share with your residents, classmates, teammates, students, coworkers and friends to help us get as many people involved as possible!

How to participate in Purple Day on Thursday, October 22, 2020:

  • Wear purple
    • To increase your impact, tell your networks that you're wearing purple to stand against dating & domestic violence.
    • Challenge your team, club, class, or dorm floor to wear purple and join the social media campaign by tagging @smcmtitleix and using the hashtag #purpleday2020
  • Use our Purple Day Zoom Backgrounds
  • Stop by our table at the campus center
    • Tabling times - 11-1PM & 5-7PM
    • Grab visibility swag and learn more about prevention and response efforts on campus
    • Complete a link for our Healthy Relationship Chain
  • Use our Snapchat Filter
    • The filter is geocoded and will be available around the campus center during our tabling times
  • Spread the word!
    • We'll achieve the greatest impact with your help! Please spread the word to your networks to help us turn our in-person and virtual campus purple in solidarity against dating & domestic violence!
