Auditions for new members are Wednesday (9/11) and Thursday (9/12) from 7:30-9:30 in Monty 101. Be sure to wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable!

FAQ (READ ME):
Do I have to audition? Yes.
Am I guaranteed to get in when I audition? No, but there’s NO PROBLEM with auditioning again another semester, in fact, it’s highly recommended.
How old do I have to be to participate? You must be +18 years old to join, regardless of position in the club.
I don’t have -insert body type or quality here-, can I still join? That’s okay! Burlesque is open to all students regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and especially BODY TYPE. We’re here to support BODY POSITIVITY and help you love yourself!
What positions are available? The only positions open to new members are ‘Stage Kitten’ and ‘Tech’. Stage Kittens are backup dancers, characters, and stagehands. They can select how many routines they want to be in or not be in any routines at all, opting to help with stage maintenance and transitions between routines instead. Tech is a newer position that helps with lighting.
Backup dancers? Is this a performance club? Yes! Burlesque has a show at the end of each semester. We work all semester putting this show together. This means that this is a time commitment.
Do I need dance or performance experience? Nope.
Do I have to wear anything? Yes, you have to wear something (no full nudity), but what you wear is completely up to you. Be sure to consider your own pace, but more importantly what makes you feel confident and comfortable!
