St. Mary's Cat Alliance Hub

As you may know, SMCM has over 50 feral cats living on campus, and while most are trap-neuter-returned (TNR), there are a few that still need to be fixed so that the population does not continue to grow. SMCA will be focusing on TNR work on campus, as well as colony maintenance and making sure that sick feral cats are taken care of and not suffering. Feral cats are also an environmental threat, because they act as invasive species. We can not remove them from campus, though, because of researched phenomenons like the vacuum effect. We are focusing on ensuring quality of life for the feral cats while they live their lives on campus and ensuring no more kittens are born on campus.

SMCA will do volunteer-style work to better the community and environment at SMCM.
