Biography
Dr. David Morris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Studies, where he teaches educational psychology and research methods courses. His research involves applications of Albert Bandura's (1986) social cognitive theory to teaching and learning. He focuses primarily on the sources of teachers' self-efficacy (i.e., their beliefs about their instructional capabilities) and how these beliefs influence the motivation and behaviors of instructors and their students. Dr. Morris has also explored factors that support and hinder educators' moral agency. His work includes publications in Educational Psychology Review, Contemporary Educational Psychology, and Theory Into Practice.
