Lecturer of Physics Shalini Ganguly, and Assistant Professor of Physics Anish Agashe recently attended the 133rd Topical Symposium of the New York State Section of the American Physical Society (APS), held on April 18 at the University at Albany (SUNY).
The symposium, titled "Advances in Physics Education Research," focused on the evolving landscape of physics instruction.Ganguly and Agashe participated in sessions detailing the ethical use of Generative AI in science curricula, strategies for transforming departmental culture, and innovative methods for teaching quantum mechanics through visualization. By engaging with these national trends in physics pedagogy, our faculty continue to ensure that St. Mary's College of Maryland students benefit from the most current and inclusive teaching strategies in the physical sciences.
