Nadeem Zaman to Present Talk at UC Berkeley

Nadeem Zaman, Ph.D., lecturer of English, will give a talk on Thursday, April 16 at the University of California, Berkeley's Chowdhury Center of the Institute for South Asia Studies (ISAS). Titled "Fiction, History, Story: Writing The Bangladesh War Of 1971," the talk will center around his novel "In the Time of the Others," a fictionalized tale set during Bangladesh's War of Liberation. The presentation will be live-streamed on Facebook at ChowdhuryCenter atUCBerkeley. 

Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Zaman's latest novel is "The Inheritors." His other works include "Culture Shocks" and a collection of stories, "Up in the Main House and Other Stories." His fiction has appeared in numerous journals around the world.
