Brian Ganz PianoTalk: "Chopin's Nocturnal Gems: The Final Nocturnes." This first PianoTalk of the year will feature a discussion and performance of the two Nocturnes, Op. 62, the last nocturnes Chopin published. Both are rich with gorgeous melodic lines, complex counterpoint, and dazzling harmonic twists and turns.

Future PianoTalks will take place on  February 17 at 11:20 a.m., March 10 at 11:20 a.m., March 31 at 11:20 a.m., and April 15 at 8 p.m. (note the unusual time!). Ganz's only full-length evening recital of the semester will take place on April 2 at 7 p.m. in the Concert Hall at Dodge PAC.
