Poet/Professor Anderson Published in Anthology

A poem titled “Asparagus” by Karen Leona Anderson, professor of English, has been published in “Fruits of the Earth: Harvest Poems” (Penguin Random House, 2025). This anthology of poems from around the world and through the ages celebrates the harvest of gardens, fields and orchards.

Anderson is the author of the poetry collections “Receipt” (Milkweed Editions) and “Punish honey” (Carolina Wren). Her work has appeared in Epiphany, Pleiades, Little Star, Alaska Quarterly Review, ZYZZYVA, The Best American Poetry, and other journals and anthologies. Her poems have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and she is the recipient of a Maryland State Arts Grant.
