St. Mary's College of Maryland, in collaboration with the St. Mary’s County Human Relations Commission, hosted a highly successful Volunteer Expo on Friday, September 5. The expo was held outside on the College's campus and brought together nearly 40 nonprofit and volunteer organizations to connect with students and members of the greater community.
The Expo was made possible through the support of Historic St. Mary's City and the College's Office of Institutional Advancement, alongside the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement. Participants praised the event for its welcoming atmosphere and opportunities to build meaningful connections.
The Volunteer Expo reflects the College’s commitment to community engagement and service. It provided students and community members with the opportunity to explore a diverse range of service opportunities, thereby strengthening the bonds between the College, local organizations and the broader community. The College is grateful to its partners and participating organizations for helping create a vibrant and successful event. For more information about community engagement opportunities at St. Mary's College of Maryland, please contact the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement at community@smcm.edu/240-895-4259.
