Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science
Biography
Seung-Uk Huh is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Policy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. His research lies in the fields of international relations and comparative politics, with a focus on international political economy and international development. His research agenda is driven by the question of why international financial flows, such as foreign investment and foreign aid, do not consistently flow to many developing nations despite their potential to promote economic development.
At St. Mary’s, Seung-Uk teaches courses in international and comparative political economy, international politics, international law and organizations, and social science research methods, focusing on the development of students’ analytical and research skills.
Seung-Uk received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He also holds an M.Sc. in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
