Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science

Biography
Seung-Uk Huh is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Policy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. His research lies in the fields of international relations and comparative politics, with a focus on international political economy and international development. His research agenda is driven by the question of why international financial flows, such as foreign investment and foreign aid, do not consistently flow to many developing nations despite their potential to promote economic development.
Before joining St. Mary’s, Seung-Uk defended his Ph.D. dissertation in Political Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned an M.Sc. in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
