“Mycelial Methodologies; what fungi teach us about interconnected approaches to collaborative and creative practices”
Fungi provide endless inspiration for how we can prepare ourselves for a post-capitalist world. From how we move through different notions of time to how we re-think death. This lecture will dive deeper into the question of how we organize like mycelium, the underground network of the fungus. Specifically looking at mycorrhizal networks, that form symbiotic relations with others in order to exchange resources, from which they mutually benefit. What does this look like in our daily human lives when working in collectives? In organizations? Or in activist movements? A mycological approach to activism allows for joy, surprise and creativity, - which are much needed in difficult times. Not promising answers but with open mind and open heart, Yasmine Ostendorf-Rodríguez will provide conditions for ideas, mutual learning and further conversation.
