Biography
Rachel Martín Jones has been studying dance since she was three years old, first training in Ballet and Flamenco at Silvia Soria Arch Dance Academy in Córdoba, Argentina and studied Belly Dance, Persian Folk and Classical Indian Dance in the Washington DC area. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. She has taught and performed at several venues, studios, and private events including guest lecturing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She currently is the artistic director of Mystic Caravan Dance, a Middle Eastern and North African dance troupe performing in Maryland. Rachel believes dance can inspire people of all ages and backgrounds and that dance is a magnificent way to express those things that words cannot.
