In May, Associate Professor of Spanish and Latin American Studies Argelia González Hurtado participated in the 62nd Congress of the Canadian Association of Hispanists, held in Salamanca, Spain.
At the congress, González Hurtado presented a paper on Maya cinema as part of a panel dedicated to regional cinemas in Latin America. She also took part in a roundtable discussion on her collaborative research project, “Cinematic Motherhood,” during which the research team shared updates on the project's progress and ongoing work.
