Crystal Oliver, senior lecturer in the St. Mary's College Department of English and editor-in-chief of EcoTheo Review, traveled to Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS) in Princeton, New Jersey, on September 25 to present a lecture and workshop in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Farminary program. Her presentation, "Writing with the Land," explored the intersection of ecology, spirituality and artistic expression, engaging participants in both reflective looking and generative writing.

Oliver has served on the editorial staff of EcoTheo Review, a national print magazine and flagship publication of the literary arts nonprofit EcoTheo Collective, since 2018. The magazine was founded at PTS by two students in 2013, making PTS the magazine’s institutional birthplace. Oliver is a poet and songwriter, and also directs the Chesapeake Writers' Conference, an intensive, week-long international writing conference that happens each summer at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
