St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public Honors College, was awarded a 4.5-star ranking in Money Magazine's 2024 "Best Colleges in America."
The College also landed on the publication's "Best Public Colleges" and "Best Colleges in the South" listings.
Within Maryland, only Johns Hopkins University ranked higher, with 5 stars. Also receiving 4.5 stars were the University of Maryland at College Park, Loyola University Maryland and Towson University.
Money ranks more than 2,400 colleges & universities to produce its "best" list of more than 700 institutions. The publication analyzes 25 factors in three general areas: quality of education (30%), affordability (40%) and outcomes (30%).
