FREE.  CONFIDENTIAL. Beginning Monday, October 28, the College is providing a 24-hour counseling helpline for all St. Mary's College of Maryland students.  If you (or a friend) are experiencing distress and need someone to talk with at any time, the Student Counseling Helpline is available to students 24 hours a day.

Counselors who staff the hotline will help you manage a crisis situation by providing information, referral, support, and crisis assessment and intervention for St. Mary's College students.

Reminder: The Wellness Center provides walk-in counseling every weekday between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.  Urgent concerns are seen any time the center is open and students may walk in and ask for an urgent appointment.

Traditional counseling appointments are available by appointment.  Please call 240-895-4289 to set up an appointment or to ask any questions.  For more information, contact Laurie Scherer at lkscherer@smcm.edu
