The Asian & Pacific-Islander American Club (APAC) presents SMCM Celebration 2024!   Also known as the Festival of Colors, Holi is a celebration of spring in India / South Asia that involves food, dancing, and the playful use of colored powder to show love and appreciation. Our students will be introducing the campus community to the history and customs of Holi as we indeed celebrate with music, samosas, tea, dancing and a color throw!

The SMCM Holi Celebration will be held at the Campus Center Patio from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 22.

This event is co-sponsored by the SMCM Asian Studies program.

Special thanks to Prof. Nayantara Kurpad (Ross Fellow in Psychology), Twinkle Raheja (OS3), the Division of Inclusion, Diversity, Access and Accountability (IDEAA), the Office of Multicultural Programming, and the Student Government Association for their generous support!

PRO TIP: If you plan to participate in the powdered color throw, you should wear old clothing and bring a change of clothes, even though the color is washable!
