Join us on Monday, Jan. 24, 2026, for the Second Annual MLK Day of Service as we honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through meaningful, community-centered action. This year’s theme, “Lighting the Way: Faith, Hope, and Action,” invites us to shine light into our communities and continue building toward Dr. King’s dream. May every act of service bring us one step closer to justice, unity and beloved community.

Service projects will take place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., with volunteer shifts lasting 2–3 hours. Transportation and snacks will be provided to all participants.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with one of our amazing host sites across St. Mary’s County:

  • St. Mary’s County Arts Council
  • Three Oaks Center
  • Building Bridges Corp.
  • Jamaur Law Foundation Inc.
  • Pax River Naval Air Museum
  • Historic McConchie One Room School
  • Patuxent Habitat for Humanity
  • Lexington Park Library
  • The Mission

This day of service is a powerful chance to make a tangible difference. Whether you’re supporting local families, uplifting community spaces, aiding nonprofits or contributing to historic preservation, your service helps illuminate the path forward as we live out Dr. King’s message through compassion, courage and action.

Sign up today to be part of this impactful day of service.
