Patrice Darby, associate director of student support in the Office of Student Success Services (OS3) received the Seahawk Spirit Award for the month of August.

In a nomination letter, a staff member wrote of Patrice, "She goes above and beyond to help SMCM students.”  The staffer went on to describe a situation where a student had an inquiry outside the scope of the staffer’s expertise. “I was not sure the answer, so I walked the student down to OS3 to see if someone could help. Patrice called IT for the student and even walked the student down to IT in the middle of her day…”
