Sue Johnson, professor of art, will exhibit large-scale screen-prints in Mesh, a national juried exhibition at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Hyattsville, Maryland. The exhibition will be on view from March 16 - April 28, with an opening reception on Friday, March 15, 6-8 p.m. Johnson's works are from Subliminality, a series of 7-foot-tall prints on recycled wallpapers that she created during a residency fellowship at the Frans Masereel Centrum in Kasterlee, Belgium. Each print is unique and features rebus puzzle designs on environmental themes.

Johnson has earned numerous fellowships and awards for her art. Last summer, she had a two-month fellowship in Paris, France, at Cité Internationale des Arts. Earlier last year, she was awarded an individual artist fellowship from the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
