Rohan Smith Honored with Seahawk Spirit Award

Rohan Smith, IT Support Technician in the Office of Information Technology, received the Seahawk Spirit Award for the month of June 2026.

Rohan was recognized for his dedication to supporting the St. Mary's College of Maryland community each day and for helping make campus a fulfilling place to work, learn, and enjoy for all members of the community. Through his commitment to providing exceptional IT support and outstanding customer service, he exemplifies the St. Mary's Way and the spirit of collaboration that strengthens the campus experience.

The Seahawk Spirit Award is a monthly award sponsored by the Staff Senate that recognizes exemplary members of the St. Mary's College of Maryland community. All permanent exempt, non-exempt, part-time, and contractual staff members are eligible for the award. Staff categories include Team Award, Community Service, Innovation Award, St. Mary's Way Award, Excellence in Leadership Award, and Kudos Award.

To nominate an SMCM staff member who has made the College a better place through their exemplary work ethic, individual contributions, positive attitude, or commitment to the St. Mary's Way, complete the Seahawk Spirit Award nomination form online. Paper copies are also available in every department.
