Assistant Professor Diego Villada invited to give Guest Artist Lectures for Seton Hill University's Theatre Program

Assistant Professor of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies Diego Villada was invited to give a series of guest lectures to BFA Acting and Musical Theatre students from Seton Hill University - Nov 2024. Utilizing techniques of online pedagogy, he lectured and led movement exercises focused on the training made famous by 20th-century Polish theatre director and author Jerzy Grotowski. The BFA actors and musical theatre performers practiced: "plateau", "plastiques", and other movement-based training techniques. Villada also lectured on Grotowski's seminal work: "Towards a Poor Theatre."  

Seton Hill Theatre and Dance Department Co-Chair and Associate Professor of Theatre Denise Pullen said, "Thank you for sharing your expertise...I know they will benefit immensely...Thank you for teaching our appreciative students!"
