Associate Professor of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies and Co-chair of the Performing Arts Department Amy Steiger wrote a monologue that will be performed as part of "Apron Strings: The Ties That Bind," running Nov. 14-17 at the AMT Theater on West 45th St in New York City.
"Apron Strings: The Ties That Bind," is a selection of works written for the stage inspired by a collection of over 600 aprons owned by Diane Schwindt, an expert in historic cooking practices. The pieces were written by 23 playwrights and woven together into a moving production about the powers of protection and connection an apron can offer.
There are only four performances and two are sold out, but the remaining tickets for Nov. 15 and 16 at 8:00 p.m. can be purchased here.
