Associate Professor Freedman's Research Featured in Nautilus

Associate Professor of Psychology Gili Freedman was recently interviewed about her research on ghosting by the online science magazine Nautilus. She is featured in Alice Fleeracker's Oct. 23, 2024 article entitled "Why We Ghost" which discusses the psychology of people who cut off all communication and how that affects their partners.

Freedman is on sabbatical during AY24-25. During this time she will be completing the final year of research for her National Science Foundation grant on softening the blow of social exclusion. In addition, she will be working with collaborators (including SMCM alumni) to finish a project and manuscript related to gender biases in STEM.
