St. Mary's College of Maryland's Jordan Williams '23 presented his paper, "Putin's Information War," at this year’s Phi Alpha Theta Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference held at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. on March 26. Williams' paper was included in a panel on war and international relations. He developed the paper under the direction of Assistant Professor Jeff Eden, in his course "Russian in the Age of Putin."

Phi Alpha Theta is the national history honor society. The conference showcases undergraduate and graduate research focused on primary historical sources and critical examination of current historical arguments. Williams and Assistant Professor Sarah Malena (SMCM Phi Alpha Theta faculty adviser) attended the conference.
