St. Mary’s College of Maryland has been ranked among the “Best Colleges for Your Money” by Money. According to Money, “St. Mary’s College of Maryland is the state’s public honors college. But with a liberal arts focus, a low student-faculty ratio of 10 to 1, and a high graduation rate, it could easily be mistaken for a selective private school.”

In order to create the ranking, Money drew on “research and advice of dozens of the nation’s top experts on education quality, financing, and value to develop a new, uniquely practical analysis of more than 700 of the nation’s best-performing colleges.” St. Mary’s College ranks 169 out of 744 colleges on the list.

St. Mary’s College has recently received several accolades: Ranked fifth best public liberal arts college in U.S. News & World Report’s “2020 Best Colleges,” ranked #1 in lowest average student loan debt among public institutions in the state of Maryland (class of 2018) by LendEDU, listed as a Hidden Gem by CollegeRaptor.com, included in The Princeton Review’s “Best 385 Colleges” Guide for 2020, 2020 Fiske Guide to Colleges, 2019 Best College Value by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, 2019-20 College of Distinction, 2018 Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation, a Top Green College in The Princeton Review’s Guide to Green Colleges 2019, and as an Individual Conference Champion in the 2018-19 College and University Green Power Challenge by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
