Cognard-Black joined the St. Mary's College faculty in 2003, and he currently serves as a member on the NCHC Board of Directors. A Fulbright scholar (University of Ljubljana, 2012), Cognard-Black's research interests include the sociologies of higher education, work, and social inequality.
